Everything about this book and this world gives off fairytale vibes. If you like longing for happily ever after and lots of fairytale motifs, you’ll love this setting.
Magic:
Magic abounds through the fates, as well as good old curses. Again, playing on fairytale favorites, this series puts a new spin on a lot of classic fairytale magic.
Overall:
This book was so lovely. Evangeline puts the pieces together from book one; she knows she’s being used, but that doesn’t stop her and Jacks from being continually thrust together. The fairytale vibes are still strong in this book as we play on the not-so-happy fairytale of the archer and the fox. Evangeline’s character is so sweet and in this book, so determined, but sometimes she can’t outrun fate!
