Jumping right back into the action after the events of book three, Heir of Frost brings Eira and her friends to the fearsome pirate queen. I love a good pirate myth — and this book brings the pirate myth within the world to life. Adela is no longer just a story, she’s a fearsome leader that Eira must reckon with.
Magic:
Eira and Adela have a lot to explore together, but one thing is for sure: we’ve been building to the similarity in their magic. Expect a little bit of a training montage as Eira learns and shares about her unique flavor of water magic.
Overall:
Another fast-paced installment in the Trial of Sorcerers series. Fans of love triangles will be losing their mind through this one. And as the fourth out of five books in this series, it’s nice to see everyone coming into their own as characters. Everyone has been through change through the series and they acknowledge what that might mean for their futures.
